Brand Identity Design: How it Makes the Difference

One look at a logo and a certain brand comes to mind - this is the identity that it collectively portrays to the people in order for them to easily remember the name. More often than not, it is the logo that most people remember and not the name; that is why it is very important to have a logo that strikes the person down to the core.

This is a very important tool to have because the market has been very competitive. Almost every year, or almost every season as a matter of fact, a new company would rise up and challenge those who are at the top. Their tenure might be brief, just a quick taste of what it means to be known all throughout the world, but after that it goes downhill. It takes to create a logo design, and that may be the reason why most of the brands do not last as much.

Brand Identity Design: Its Importance and Advantages

In the fast paced world of globalization, brand identity development is crucial for any business that wants to succeed in a competitive industry. Branding goes beyond just a logo or image. A brand reflects the personality of the organization, not to mention emotions and feelings surrounding the brand.

Brand identity design cannot be created overnight. Even though the identity of the brand is primarily assembled by brand owners, it’s the consumers who perceive it as a living entity. Brand identity creates a distinct product positioning in the consumer’s mind. For example: several research surveys have found that Coca Cola consumers associate drinking Coke with happiness and joy. Coca Cola currently has one of the highest brand equity in the world. Simply the name “Coca Cola” and all the trademarks and images related to it is worth billions of dollars. Same goes for Apple Inc. The reason Apple gets to charge premium prices for its products, is because of its high brand equity.
